Toyota Hilux compatible TOY55BTE transponder key

This particular key profile was only really used with the couple of Lexus smart keys and the new Hilux models for the tailgate. These new model Hilux are supplied with an emergency key blade in the smart remote and generally with a manual key that looks identical to this with Toyota logos.

The back of the key is very different to the fron of the key and the cut away section is very specific.

This type of key profile is know as a track key or wave cut or laser cut and is not available at every key cutting business. It uses a tracer system to copy your key and so your key needs to be in proper working order and work smoothly in the ignition and door to be copied.

In the case of the models listed above, they use highly encrypted transponder chips and so the vehicle MUST be present to make a new key with a chip inside it, as we need to gather data from the vehicle and the key using our special equipment to make a copy of the chip.
