Although our online store is open 24 hours per day, we are also a bricks and mortar store operating 8.30am to 5pm Monday to Friday and so emails will be responded to as soon as possible during these times. We observe Western Australian public holidays.
Reids Remotes only sells new remotes we do not sell repaired or second hand remotes. Replacement remotes are officially approved and operate the same as the original. Aftermarket options are the same electronically as the original remote but come in a different case.

Collecting Anonymous Information
Collection: We automatically collect general website traffic information (such as how many people have visited the site, most popular pages etc.). This information is collated into aggregate results in order to evaluate our service and business practice in an effort to provide you with an optimum shopping service.
Disclosure: We may share non-personal, aggregated information with other REIDS REMOTES Divisions, our partners and product distributors for research purposes. We never identify or disclose individual customers or visitors’ information or purchases but we may disclose how many customers bought a specific item or used a specific service such as an email list.

Cookies: For added convenience, we employ a "cookie" system on our website. A "cookie" is a small file placed on your machine which lets our site store information. This information allows us to make our site easier to use. Cookies allow our servers to keep track of your customer details between visits to our site. SECURITY
Credit Card
Crucially, your credit card details are only transmitted in encrypted form. Unencrypted credit card information is NOT stored on our internet servers. Online credit card payments are currently processed using a third party payment service run by Pay Pal or EWAY. Both provide compliant payment services to the REIDS REMOTES Shop Online that is used to securely process customer payments. If we change this third party service provider, we will notify you here.
Firewall
Our order processing system is protected by the REIDS REMOTES network firewall. A firewall is a hardware and software security system designed to filter specified exchanges of information and restrict access to authorised systems and users.

Although our online store is open 24 hours per day, we are real people operating a bricks and mortar shop and so emails will be responded to Monday to Friday between 9am and 5pm WST. We observe Western Australian public holidays.
At Reid’s we will endeavour to process and dispatch your order as quickly as possible. The majority of orders are processed and shipped on the same day if placed before 2pm Western Australian Time. Of course sometimes we are very busy and so we promise to ship your order to you within 3 working days maximum after your order is confirmed (received, paid and processed).
You will be notified of any items that are out of stock within 48 hours of placing your order and of their expected delivery date. These items will be placed on back order if requested. Orders cannot be cancelled once they have been dispatched.
Delivery Methods:
Upgrade to Australia Post Red Parcel Post: We recommend this upgrade if you wish to add tracking to your order and speed it up as this can save up to 2 days from delivery time.
Upgrade to Australia Post Express Post: Upgrading to the Express Post option adds tracking and next business day delivery to most major cities in Australia.
We will confirm to you once your order has been shipped and include your tracking number if you have upgraded to a method that includes tracking. Please be aware that we take all precautions when packing your items and in most cases use bubble wrap envelopes inside the satchel to reduce the possibility of any damage in transit. We may also use boxing on certain products to further protect them from damage in transit.
Click & Collect in store: You can use this option if you wish to ensure the items are in stock and set aside for you. To use this option simply select and pay for your items online selecting Click & Collect at checkout. We will then confirm to you via email your order is in stock and ready to collect from our East Vic Park shop during normal business hours. This service can also be used when you wish to book in to have a car key cut or programmed.
Deliver & Program Service (Business Hours): If you are purchasing a remote that requires programming and you live in the Perth metropolitan area and would prefer to have the remote programmed at your property by a trained technician, we are happy to help. Please call 08 6110 2693 to book a time.
We are based in East Victoria Park and so all call out fees are calculated to include the return trip travel time to the delivery address and the time needed to program your remote.
We have tried to keep this system as fair as possible by using approx. 5km increments and so locations within a 5km radius of our shop are charged at $85 inclusive and then the price increases at each extra 5km. The table below shows the associated cost by postcode.
Our deliver and program pricing is for call outs carried out during normal business hours i.e. between 8.30am to 5pm Monday to Friday. If you wish to have the technician visit your premises outside of these hours it will incur a surcharge as we have to pay our staff extra for an out of hours call out. These out of business hours costs are shown in the table above.
The Deliver & Program fee covers travel time to the job and 1/2 hour onsite. All time after that will be charged at $75 per hour or part thereof in a minimum of 15 minute segments. Any additional time required will need to be paid for on the day.
CANCELLING CALL OUT: If you wish to cancel a call out, this should be done at least 24 hours before the call out is due or you will be liable for the call out fee.
Call outs where we attend a property but are unable to complete the job due to any of the following but not limited to will be liable for the full call out fee:
No keys available for access to control panel or receiver box
Customer does not attend (we will wait onsite for 30 minutes maximum)
Customer has ordered the incorrect items or given us incorrect information
Customer has double booked us with another contractor
Remotes cannot be programmed due to motor or receiver faults which require a service call
RE-STOCKING FEE: Where a call out is cancelled and remotes have been ordered as part of this call out, the customer will be liable for payment in full of the cost of the remotes or if they wish to cancel the remote order, a re-stocking fee of 15% of the cost of the remotes will be charged to cancel the order.
Re-stocking fees are charged as a standard by our suppliers to return remotes ordered for such jobs and so we are simply passing on the cost we incur.

Orders inside Australia
Yes we do deliver anywhere in Australia including Post office boxes.
Reids Remotes will not be held liable for the loss or damage of items delivered by Australia Post. If you choose an Australia Post Satchel to have your remote shipped the satchels have a unique tracking number that can be used to track the item should Australia Post fail to deliver the item.
SHIPPING INTERNATIONALY
No we do not deliver internationally.
Programming, Returns, Refunds & Exchanges
1. Programming Instructions & Assistance
Programming instructions are provided with remotes either by email or within the product packaging. These instructions are intended as a general guide only and may not match every individual installation, receiver, or motor configuration.
If the supplied instructions do not match your setup, customers must contact Reids Remotes before attempting to return the product. Customers may be asked to provide photos of the motor, receiver, control board, or installation to assist with identifying compatibility and providing appropriate guidance.
Reids Remotes will make reasonable efforts to assist customers with programming support but does not guarantee successful programming where:
Reids Remotes is not responsible for manufacturer design limitations or programming procedures performed by the customer.
Mobile Programming Service
Reids Remotes offers a mobile call-out programming service within the Perth metropolitan area.

2. General Purchasing Responsibility
Reids Remotes takes reasonable care to assist customers in selecting suitable products. Customers are responsible for confirming product suitability and compatibility prior to purchase. We encourage customers to contact us for advice before ordering if unsure.
3. Vehicle Remotes & Smart Keys
Vehicle remotes or smart/proximity keys requiring diagnostic programming must be programmed by a licensed locksmith.
Once programming has been attempted, these keys may become locked as part of the normal process and cannot be returned, regardless of outcome. All returned vehicle keys will be tested; if found to be locked, no refund can be issued.
If Reids Remotes programs a key and an issue occurs later, the vehicle and all keys must be returned for diagnosis. Faulty keys within warranty will be replaced. Issues relating to the vehicle or original keys may incur additional charges, which will be discussed prior to any work being carried out.
4. Change of Mind

5. Exchanges for Incorrectly Selected Items
Where an incorrect item has been purchased, Reids Remotes may offer an exchange at its discretion, provided that:

Reids Remotes reserves the right to charge a repackaging fee if original packaging is damaged or not suitable for resale.
6. Faulty Goods (Australian Consumer Law)

7. Damage in Transit
Reids Remotes packages items securely using bubble-wrap envelopes inside satchels to minimise transit damage.
Once goods are in the possession of Australia Post or another carrier, transit damage claims are handled in accordance with the carrier’s policies. Returned items must be packaged securely and in a manner comparable to the original shipment.
When returning goods, customers must use a reliable postage method. Reids Remotes is not responsible for items lost or damaged while being returned to us.

9. Refunds
Where a refund is approved (other than for faulty goods under ACL), refunds will be processed less a 15% restocking fee and credited to the original payment method (credit card or PayPal) within 1–5 business days of receipt of goods.
Refunds will not be processed where returned goods do not comply with this policy.

Exchanged items will only be dispatched once the original item has been received, inspected, and approved. Return postage costs apply.

As Reids Remotes operates both a physical store and an online store, stock availability may change. If an item ordered online becomes unavailable due to in-store sale, a staff member will contact the customer within 48 hours to arrange an alternative, backorder, or refund where applicable.
