Hyundai 81996-KL010 emergency key blade

The new oval shaped Hyundai proximity remotes do not store the emergency key blade inside them like older generations. Instead the emergency key blade attached to a leather loop on the end of the fob.

This new emergency key blade is also much thinner than older models and is only cut on one surface. There does not appear to be an equivelant Silca or JMA reference for this blade as yet. As a result it is very difficult to have one of these key blades cut if you do not have one to copy from so we strongly reccomend you always have a spare key blade as it will save you alot of stress and expense if you lose one.

This blade is used with the majority of the new Hyundai oval shaped proximity remotes used with a number of models.

The chrome section of this emergency key folds to a right angle to make it easier to turn in the lock.
