Toyota Land Cruiser, Prado, Hilux, MR2, & Corolla genuine PZQ71-00042 oval black remote

This genuine Toyota PZQ71-00042 remote was used with a number of models including;

Corolla; 1999 - 2005 
MR2; 2000 - 2005 
Prado; 1998 - 2002 
Land Cruiser; 1999 - 2007 
Hilux: 2001 - 2005 

This remote operates on 304 MHz.

It is important to check the back of your remote to ensure it has a Toyota logo as there are other aftermarket remotes on the market that look very similar from the front but of course they do not have the Toyota logo as this one does on the back.

You should also check the front of the circuit board in your remote for reference PB4005. 

The V6.0 printed on the the circuit board simply means Version 6 and the components on the previous versions of this PB4005 circuit board may look slightly different but this will work with all older versions.

Unlike lots of early Toyota remotes this remote does not have a sealed case and so the battery in this remote can indeed be replaced. 

Many of our separate remotes fobs such as this one here can be programmed to your vehicle yourself and we provide instruction on how to do this with all such remotes. The instructions will usually have pictures of which buttons to press in the car or very specific instructions on what you need. In almost all cases this takes less than 5 minutes to complete and some such as the Ford remotes can take as little as 2 minutes to program to your car.

If you have any issues during programming please call us and we will talk you through it. If you are not confident about programming the remote yourself just select the Click & Collect delivery option and then bring your car to our shop during business hours and we will program the remote for you.

If you currently have this remote and a separate key, we can make you a new generic flip key combining those two things. Generally one button remotes when made into a flip key you will be able to press either the lock or unlock button to activate the central locking as your current remote only had one button for both functions and so both functions get applied to both the lock and unlock button on the new flip key.
