Smart Forfour W454 compatible 2 button remote car key

Here we are offering you an aftermarket flip key which can be used as a spare or to replace the original round headed key that comes with the Smart ForFour W454 models.

The flip key is much more stylish and sturdy than the plastic headed original keys and costs a fraction of the cost of a genuine key. The circuit board is precoded to suit Australian delivered Smart Forfour models which have a 433 MHz remote and ID46 PCF7941 transponder on a single circuit.

This key profile can be used with the following Smart ForFour models in the table below:

THIS TABLE IS INTENDED TO BE USED AS A GUIDE ONLY. IF YOUR KEY BLADE LOOKS LIKE THE ONES IN THE PHOTOS THEN WE CAN MAKE YOU A SPARE KEY EVEN IF THE MODEL DOES NOT APPEAR IN THE TABLE.

This key profile is a JMA HU-DH.P3 and has the same key blade as a Silca HU 56R. 

This is a track cut or laser cut key profile and we use a special milling type cutter to duplicate your key. This type of remote key uses an integrated transponder chip and remote on one circuit board. The key comes with a CR2032 battery fitted and you can order a spare from the compatible items tab. 

Please note the genuine key may use a different battery so you should check inside it to be sure.

If your original key still works but the plastic buttons are damaged we also sell a replacement key shell which you will see under compatible items.

Programming this key can only be done using a diagnostic scan tool by a licensed locksmith and we are licensed in WA to do this work. Please call us on (08) 6110 2693 to book an appointment. 

It usually takes between 45-60 minutes to complete the job and of course we will need the vehicle & ALL other keys you have for it to be there to program the key as the process first deletes all keys and then re-programs any original and new keys to the car.

We charge $90 to cut and program a key that we have supplied.

Having a spare key can save you thousands of dollars should you lose your main key. Losing your only key with some brands of cars can be a massive headache, involving towing your vehicle to a dealer, having to have the immobilizer box replaced, having all the lock barrels replaced and having the ignition barrel replaced. You may be without your vehicle for up to a week.

Of course this is a worst case scenario and with some makes and models a new key can be cut and coded to your vehicle even if all the keys are lost but even then this is still a much more expensive and stressful procedure than simply having a spare key made. We strongly recommend all of our customers have a spare key to avoid this stressful situation.

Dispose of used button/coin batteries immediately and safely. A battery can still be dangerous even when it can no longer operate the device. Place sticky tape around both sides of the battery and dispose of it immediately out of reach of children in an outside bin or recycle safely.
