Toyota 3 button key shell for Avensis Carina Corolla & Yaris TOY 47 key blade

This shape remote key was used with a few different Toyota models as shown below in the list and some of them were also available in a 2 button version. This key shell has a third hole to accommodate a remote with either a red panic button of a boot release or trunk button.

This key shell has a TOY 47 key profile which is not a very commonly used Toyota key blade profile and looks distinctly different to the more common TOY 43. Take a careful look at the grooves in your key blade and compare them to the photos attached to ensure this is the correct key shell for you.

You don't need to replace your entire remote key just because the case or shell has broken away from the key blade. If you do not live close by you can of course order this key shell and take it to your local key cutting shop and have them cut the blade to match your existing key. Then you can swap the remote module into the new shell and you are up and running.

There are lots of cheap key shells on the market and we have tested lots of other brands but this key shell made by JMA from Spain is definitely the best quality replacement we have tested. The machining of the key blade is very exact and so the key works well once it is cut correctly. A variance of even as little as 0.01mm can make a huge difference to how well a key works and so it is vital to get your key cut at a reputable key cutter who regularly calibrates their key machine.

It is very important to use a quality screw driver when doing this as the screw in this keys is very small and over tightening the screw will damage the new shell.
