This product has been temporarily removed from sale as direct result of the Consumer Goods (Products Containing Button/Coin Batteries) Safety Standard 2020 which becomes enforceable on 22nd June 2022 and carries fines of up to $1million. 

All products that contain a button cell or coin type battery must be safety tested to confirm they comply with these new regulations. All button cell batteries must be in a new type of packaging with new labels. 

We are working with all of our suppliers to confirm this compliance before we make the product available for sale again. 

We should have had 18 months to get this compliance but sadly the ACCC did not inform our suppliers or us or pretty much any other industry and we only found out about this new law 4 weeks ago.

This genuine Mongoose MRC83G 3 button car alarm remote works with a number of different M80 series car alarm, central locking or immobiliser systems manufactured after 2011 It operates on 434 MHz and has a RED LED.

Earlier model M80 systems made from mid 2009 to 2011 were supplied an identical looking 3 button remote control with a GREEN LED which operates on 303 MHz.  

The circuit board of this remote will have the following letters printed on it - UTDD. The LED colour will tell you which remote you need.

The remote has no model number on the case and there are other very similar looking remotes on the market that are not the same so it is vital you check what system is fitted to your vehicle before purchasing this remote.

The back cover of the remote just has the N4096 Z333 compliance number on it.

If you do not have a working remote you will need to find your over-ride code from the owners manual.

Below you will see the coding instructions for the the M80 systems that this remote can be used with.

To learn new remotes to M80 models:

1. Disarm by existing remote, or use the override
2. Open the drivers door and leave open
3. Turn the ignition ON/OFF 3 times - siren chirps
4. Press arm button on first remote (siren chirps)
5. Press arm button on second remote (siren chirps)
6. Repeat for any other remotes
7. Wait 10 seconds for learning process to complete
