This product has been temporarily removed from sale as direct result of the Consumer Goods (Products Containing Button/Coin Batteries) Safety Standard 2020 which becomes enforceable on 22nd June 2022 and carries fines of up to $1million. 

All products that contain a button cell or coin type battery must be safety tested to confirm they comply with these new regulations. All button cell batteries must be in a new type of packaging with new labels. 

We are working with all of our suppliers to confirm this compliance before we make the product available for sale again. 

We should have had 18 months to get this compliance but sadly the ACCC did not inform our suppliers or us or pretty much any other industry and we only found out about this new law 4 weeks ago.

This OEM Honda 2 button remote fob can be coded to your Honda MDX models between 2001 and 2006 as long as the part numbers on your remote module match to: G8D-349H-A Freq. 313 MHZ

Please check the photos for more information on where to look for this part number on your old remote so that you can identify if this key is the correct one for you. If the sticker is no longer on the back of the remote the part number should also be on the circuit board inside the case. Please take great care when opening the casing to check this number.

Use the VIN mask shown in the VIN number field in the tables below to ensure you have ordered the correct remote fob. The digits shown as # can be any character or digit. While the specified characters must match.

If your old remote shell is just broken but the remote still works we sell replacement shells which you can purchase under the Compatible Items section below and simply swap the circuit board in to the new shell.

The key used with this vehicle has an ID 48 megamos crypro transponder chip. If you need a spare remote and key we can combine those into a flip key. 

We also offer an alternative to the OEM remote & key in the form of an aftermarket remote flip key.

The flip key has a number of advantages over the OEM remote & separate key in that:

1. The flip key contruction is more compact than the separate key and remote

2. The flip key folds so it is easier to store in your pocket or bag

3. The flip key will not tear the lining of your pockets as the key folds away and so will not dig into your lining.

4. The flip key is more stylish and appaealing to most customers.

5. You can choose from a few styles of flip key and in some cases even have a coloured flip key.
