This vehicle list is intended as a guide only. The most accurate method to identify your current key is by opening the remote case and reading circuit board number as shown in the attached photos. In this case it should be 271451-3370 and should have 4 buttons on the circuit board. The frequency is 314.35 and this is engraved on a small square transmitter crystal on the circuit board. See the photos for more inforamtion on this.

You can also come into our shop and we will scan the frequency of the remote and identify the transponder chip for you. If you are not near by you can send us a photo of the front and back of the circuit board in your current smart key and we will assist you to identify the correct replacement.

This type of smart key is also sometimes referred to as a proximity key or prox key as it allows you to enter the vehicle and start the vehicle without having to press the remote or put it in a slot or put a key in the ignition. This system is often referred to as keyless start.

This Toyota smart proximity key is supplied with a battery fitted and an emergency key blade included but if you require a spare or replacement for this type of key you can add those from the Compatible Items section.

This type of smart key can only be coded to your vehicle using specialist diagnostic tools by a licensed locksmith or vehicle repairer. We can code the smart key and cut your key in our shop in East Victoria Park WA or you can have it done locally to where you live.

We charge $90 to code this type of smart key. You will need to call to make an appointment.

Coding a spare key when you have a working key is not a huge job but if you lose your only key and then need a key made and coded this becomes a much larger and far more expensive proposition. We strongly reccomend you always have a spare key for your Toyota vehicles, especially those using a smart proximity key.
