BMW 1 Series E82 E87 E88 3 button non-proximity remote slot key

This OEM style BMW non-proximity slot key can be coded to a large list of vehicles as listed below.

Non-proximity means you must press a button on the remote to open the doors and the key must be in the slot in the dash to start the car.

If you do not have to place your existing key in the slot to start the car and you don't have to press any buttons to unlock the car it is a proximity smart remote key. This feature is also referred to as comfort access.

Each car can only have a maximum of 2 full proximity remote keys with full comfort access.

These keys must be coded as keys 1 & 2.

Any additoonal keys will be non-proximity remote slot keys like this one here and do not have that comfort access feature. 

This key can be coded to the following vehicles:

Coding a new key to your vehicle will normally take 45 - 60 minutes. Please call for a booking to avoid a long wait. 

This key is predominantly used with vehicles fitted with CAS 3 or CAS 3++. If the vehicle has had the ISTAP security update this will add additional time to the programming time. We cannot tell what software the CAS is running until we plug in the diagnostic device and so please allow extra time if possible.

All of our remotes and keys are covered by a 12 month warranty and all coding is carried out by a licensed professional. Please do not trust your vehicle to an unlicensed person to do this type of coding. Using an unlicensed person to carry out this work can end up costing you a considerable amount of money when things go wrong and being unlicensed they will also not be covered by any liability insurance for the work they are doing.

Dispose of used button/coin batteries immediately and safely. A battery can still be dangerous even when it can no longer operate the device. Place sticky tape around both sides of the battery and dispose of it immediately out of reach of children in an outside bin or recycle safely.
