This product has been temporarily removed from sale as direct result of the Consumer Goods (Products Containing Button/Coin Batteries) Safety Standard 2020 which becomes enforceable on 22nd June 2022 and carries fines of up to $1million. 

All products that contain a button cell or coin type battery must be safety tested to confirm they comply with these new regulations. All button cell batteries must be in a new type of packaging with new labels. 

We are working with all of our suppliers to confirm this compliance before we make the product available for sale again. 

We should have had 18 months to get this compliance but sadly the ACCC did not inform our suppliers or us or pretty much any other industry and we only found out about this new law 4 weeks ago.

OEM style Jaguar 5 button smart proximity remote key to suit the Jaguar models listed below. Please note this is an aftermarket key and does not have a Jaguar logo on the back as per the genuine keys.

This key uses the ID46 HITAG2 PCF7953 keyless go type proximity transponder. 

The information in the table above is instended to be used as a reference only. You may have a key that looks identical to this one but is being used with a vehicle from a year not listed in the table. This may be becase it is using a different type transponder chip in the key you have. The only way to know 100% for sure is for us to scan the key you have to see the transponder type.

Later models of these models use a different looking key which has the ID49-HITAGPRO proximity transponder inside and so this key will not work with those models.

The key comes with a battery fitted and with a blank aftermarket emergency key blade inside which can be used to open the car door if the remote battery becomes flat. The emergency key will need to be cut to match your original key.

The remote has 5 buttons for LOCK - UNLOCK - LIGHTS - BOOT - PANIC ALARM.

Coding a new key can easily be done if you have a key already and so losing your only key can end in a very very expensive exercise to get a new one coded to your vehicle if you no longer have a working key.

We strongly reccomend you always have a spare key for your vehicle and keep it in a secure and safe place.

Feel free to email us a photo of the details on your key if you are not certain it is correct. You can always drop into our shop and we can scan the key to identify the chip and check the frequency of the remote.

This key can only be programmed to your vehicle by connecting a programmer to the vehicle. We can do this and cut the key blade at our workshop in East Victoia Park in Perth or you can have it done by your local licensed locksmith.

This key features the HU101 key blade profile which is cut using a milling type key machine often referred to as a wave cut or laser cut. Please see the attached photos to understand how to open the battery and emergency key compartments on your key.
