This product has been temporarily removed from sale as direct result of the Consumer Goods (Products Containing Button/Coin Batteries) Safety Standard 2020 which becomes enforceable on 22nd June 2022 and carries fines of up to $1million. 

All products that contain a button cell or coin type battery must be safety tested to confirm they comply with these new regulations. All button cell batteries must be in a new type of packaging with new labels. 

We are working with all of our suppliers to confirm this compliance before we make the product available for sale again. 

We should have had 18 months to get this compliance but sadly the ACCC did not inform our suppliers or us or pretty much any other industry and we only found out about this new law 4 weeks ago.

This card uses PCF7947A / HITAG 2 / 46 CHIP transponder chip inside it.

The keycard is very slim and holds the emergency key inside it. The green part is attached to the emergency key blade which slides out when pulled.

This key card features just 2 buttons with symbols for LOCK & UNLOCK.

It is important to note that vehicles supplied with the 3 button version of this card cannot use the 2 button version and vice versa.

These cards can only be coded to the vehicle using specialist diagnostic equipment connected via the OBD port on the vehicle. We can complete this service for you at our East Victoria Park workshop or you can have it coded by a licensed locksmith nearer to where you live if you are not local to Perth.

Sadly there are no identifying numbers on this keycard and so the best way to confirm is by us scanning your existing keycard to make sure it uses the same chip.

The keycard comes with a CR1616 battery already fitted and spare batteries can be ordered from the compatible items tab. To change the battery you will need to remove the emergency key blade and you will then see the battery. Please take not of which way up the battery is fitted to ensure you put the new battery in the correct way up.

These cards allow for remote entry to the vehicle and push button start with the key card having to be used in the slot. When the battery in the keycard runs out you have the emergency keyblade in the key which can be used to open the vehicle and placing the keycard in the card slot in the dash will allow you to drive the vehicle until the battery in the key card can be replaced.
