Mercedes SL Class W129 1997 - 2001 models replacement remote flip key

In late 2017 Mercedes stopped making the replacement flip keys for these older model Mercedes SL vehicles on the W129 R129 chassis as well as a bunch of other Mercedes flip keys. This series is often referred to as the R129 SL but as you will see from the photos the VIN in Australia started with a W and so is referred to as the W129 chassis and most also have Mercedes Benz R129 printed on the VIN plate.

This high quality OEM style flip key can be programmed to your vehicle as a spare or replacement flip key with all the functionality of the original key.

To identify if your vehicle is on the W129 chassis - look at the VIN for the vehicle and it should start as follow: 

W**129 where the only characters that matter is the W and the 129 - the * can be any letter

This flip key uses a PCF 7935 type transponder chip and the remote transmits on 315 MHz.

This flip key is unlike most other remote flip keys in that it has an infra red lense at the end of the key that goes into the ignition. Programming a remote flip key like this can only be done with a very small number of specialist programmers. We carry out this work at our workshop in East Victoria Park in WA. Please call to make an appointment in advance.

We will need the vehcile for approx 1.5 hours as long as you have a working key. 

If you live in another part of Australia we will not be able to assist you sadly as we need to conect our programer to the vehicle to program the key and remote.

Dispose of used button/coin batteries immediately and safely. A battery can still be dangerous even when it can no longer operate the device. Place sticky tape around both sides of the battery and dispose of it immediately out of reach of children in an outside bin or recycle safely.
