Dodge 2 button plus panic button fobik key replacement shell with right side battery contact

Fobik twist keys and fobik proximity keys both use the same type of key shells. These keys are used across the Chrysler, Dodge & Jeep branded vehicles extensively.

IMPORTANT TO NOTE -  THE BATTERY CONTACT IS ON THE RIGHT SIDE IN THE BACK SECTION OF THE CASE - PLEASE CHECK PHOTOS CAREFULLY & COMPARE TO YOUR KEY BEFORE ORDERING

Here we have an unbranded fobik replacement shell. 

This fobik shell has buttons with symbols for - PANIC - UNLOCK - LOCK

This replacement shell allows you to refresh the fobik key and will allow you to use the all the buttons again correctly. Swapping over the shell is not a major job but it is vital you take great care when handling the remote circuit board so as to ensure you do not cause any damage.

This type of fobik key does not have a micro-switch on the PCB. Instead there are circular metal pads on the surface of the PCB and when you press down on the rubber button the small metal contact on the back closes the gap in these PCB pads and completes the circuit to mimic a micro-switch activation.

We see lots of these PCB with sticky mess on the surface and so it is also a good idea to clean the PCB with PCB cleaner when replacing the shell.

If your original fobik key does not have the red panic button, you can still use this shell. However may wish to remove the metal contact from the back of the PANIC button if you do not wish to have the alarm go off when this button is pressed accidentally.
