As long as your remote control module still works, you can have the blade of this key cut to match your existing key and insert the remote module and transponder chip and you are up and running again.

THIS KEY IS MILLED OUT ALONG THE CENTRE OF THE BLADE AND MATCHES - SILCA HU100 OR JMA OP-11. 

You will notice from the images attached that the battery in this 3 button fixed blade remote key was held in place in the back section of the key shell and has a metal battery contact that fits into the plastic moulding. This part requires the metal battery contact to be fitted from your original key into this new key shell or your remote will not work. Please take care to not bend the battery contact oo much when moving it across to the new shell or it may not make good contact with the PCB when the shell is assembled.

If you come into our East Victoria Park wrokshop we will be happy to cut the key blade, swap over your case and test your battery, while you wait. It is always best to have the car present when getting the key cut so it can be properly tested for smooth operation in doors and ignition.

If you do not live close by you can of course order this key shell and take it to your local key cutting shop and have them cut the blade to match your existing key. Then you can swap the remote module and transponder chip into the new shell and you are up and running.

Your original Holden fixed key will most likely be super glued together and we have found these particular keys can be very tricky to get apart. You should take great care in taking the old shell apart to avoid damaging the circuit board or transponder chip.

We do advise that you use some plastic contact glue around the edges of the shell when re-assembling it to ensure a firm fit. 

This shell is made to a high standard and the machining of the key blade is very accurate. We regularly have people bring in keys that they have purchased on eBay only to find that the blade is no machined to the correct dimensions or the circuit board does not fit well in the shell etc.

Even 0.01mm difference in the dimensions of the key blade can make it not fit correctly and so not work correctly when cut.
