Hyundai & Kia compatible Silca KIA9TE & JMA HY-20 transponder key blank

This aftermarket transponder key blank matches the Silca KIA9TE & JMA HY-20 key profile. It can be used as a weather proof or waterproof option for those involved in watersports, boating, surfing, swimming etc to be able to lock their car and take a key into the water with them. 

The transponder chips used in this style key are sealed and so are completely waterproof. We reccomend cleaning the key with clean water after any contact with seawater to avoid introducing salt from the sea water into your locks.

The Silca KIA9TE key profile is used with a number of Hyundai & Kia models from around 2016 onward.

The Silca KIA9TE (JMA HY-20) key blade profile is quite different in appearance to earlier Hyundai key profiles. The key blade is perfectly rectangular and has no grooves or raised edges on the long surfaces. The tip has a cut away taper and that is about the only noticable feature. Many of the genuine keys feature a number 156 on the blade but we have now seen some other keys that match the dimensions of this one with other numbers stamped on them and so this is no longer a way to identify the blade.

The key is machined using a milling type key cutting machine along the centre of the flat surface of both sides. 

PLEASE NOTE THAT MANY OF THE FLIP KEYS USING THIS STYLE KEY BLADE MAY USE TRANSPONDER CHIPS WHICH CANNOT BE CLONED AND SO SOMETIMES WE MAY ONLY BE ABLE TO CUT YOU A KEY TO LOCK THE VEHICLE BUT IT MAY NOT BE ABLE TO START THE VEHICLE OR WE MAY NEED TO DIAGNOSTICALLY PROGRAM A TRANSPONDER TO THE VEHICLE TO ALLOW THIS KEY TO BE USED TO START THE VEHICLE.

The fee for the key will depend on what process is required:

If we are just cutting the blank without a chip it iwll be $35 as listed above
If we are cloning a transponder and cutting the key it will be $95
If we are programming a chip via diagnostic tools and cutting the key it will be $135
