Honda Civic 2006 - 2011 8th Gen Valeo S0084-A 1-AK 2 button flip key

Honda Civic 8th Gen vehicles from 2006 - 2011 came with an all black plastic 2 button fixed blade remote key. These original Honda remote keys keys were quite prone to issues with the key blade breaking away from the plastic remote section. 

The Honda Civic 8th Gen ran from 2006 - 2011 and these models had an integrated remote key - models before this had a separate key and remote.

This top quality 2 button flip key can be programmed to your Honda Civic 8th Gen vehicle offering a stronger and much more stylish solution.

The key will be precoded to suit this vehicle and must be programmed to the car using a diagnostic scan tool.

We can do this for you at our East Victoria Park workshop in WA or you can use a licensed locksmith where you live.

This type of key has an integrated ID46 transponder chip on the circuit board and when this is programmed the car the remote part is also programmed at the same time.

There are many very similar looking keys for Honda vehicles but the coding on the circuit board and the type of transponder chip is different in each vehicle and so it is vital you check the details of your vehicle matches before ordering.

These flip keys are very good quality and tend to be much stronger than the original plastic headed remote keys that come with the vehicle. The key blade on this flip key folds away and so it does not dig into your leg when the key is in your pocket.

The first image shows a size comparison between the 2 types of key so you can get an idea of the size of the flip key.

The flip key is supplied with a battery fitted and a key blade and roll pin. The key blade will need to be cut to match the vehicle and then it will need to be fitted to the flip key body using the roll pin supplied with it. Any locksmith will be able to do this for you if you are having it done locally where you live.

We only cut Honda keys to factory code using a computerised key cutting machine. Honda locks are quiet complex internally and badly duplicated keys can become jammed in the ignition.

Always check how the locksmith intends to cut your key before proceeding. We decode your original key and ensure that matches to a factory code. This code is then used to cut the new key so it is exactly as the key would have been when the car left the factory. If we cannot decode your key due to excessive wear we will not proceed.

There is a recess on the back of the flip key where you can place a 14mm logo sticker if you wish but please note it is not supplied with one.
