MG3 2016 onward compatible 2 button remote flip key

MG3 vehicles from 2016 onward came with a quite different looking flip key with 2 button and rounded ends to the flp key remote part. This style MG flip keys keys were quite prone to issues with the key blade breaking away from the flip part. 

This top quality 2 button flip key can be programmed to your MG3 vehicle offering a stronger and much more stylish solution to the genuine ones.

The key will be precoded to suit this vehicle and must be programmed to the car using a diagnostic scan tool.

We can do this for you at our East Victoria Park workshop in WA or you can use a licensed locksmith where you live.

A SECURITY PIN CODE IS NEEDED TO PROGRAM THIS KEY - IF YOU DO NOT HAVE THIS PIN CODE WE WILL GET IT FOR YOU - THE COST IS $50 AND YOU MUST PROVIDE PHOTO ID AND PROOF OF OWNERSHIP OF THE VEHICLE.

THERE ARE NOT CURRENTLY ANY DIAGNOSTIC TOOLS THAT CAN READ THIS SECURITY PIN CODE FROM THE VEHICLE.

This type of key has an integrated ID46 transponder chip on the circuit board and when this is programmed the car the remote part is also programmed at the same time.

These flip keys are very good quality and tend to be much stronger than the original flip keys that come with the vehicle. 

The first image shows a size comparison between the 2 types of key so you can get an idea of the size of the flip key.

The flip key is supplied with a battery fitted and a key blade and roll pin. The key blade will need to be cut to match the vehicle and then it will need to be fitted to the flip key body using the roll pin supplied with it. Any locksmith will be able to do this for you if you are having it done locally where you live.

There is a recess on the back of the flip key where you can place a 14mm logo sticker if you wish but please note it is not supplied with one. 

If your original key works but the keyshell is damaged you will find a compatible shell replacement kisted under Compatible Items also.

Dispose of used button/coin batteries immediately and safely. A battery can still be dangerous even when it can no longer operate the device. Place sticky tape around both sides of the battery and dispose of it immediately out of reach of children in an outside bin or recycle safely.
