Merlin M-802 small 2 button alternative garage door remote control

The M802 small is compatible with Merlin openers fitted between 1994 and 2001 using the 12 dip switch fixed code technology including:

MERLIN PROLIFT M230T

MERLIFT PROLIFT 430R 

MERLIN POWERLIFT 2600P

It can also be used with gate openers fitted with M-500, M-501 and M-502 receiver cards.

This much smaller remote has the added benefit of being small enough to fit on your keys or in your pocket or handbag muche easier than the large original Merlin M802 which is really more suited as a wall remote or attached to the sun visor in your car. 

The M802 small still has quite a large button making it easy to use and features the same type of transmitter which because it transmits on 40 MHz which is a frequency not used very much any more it does not suffer the problems of interference or digital noise which effects many remote controls using higher frequencies such as 433 MHz used by the majority of garage and gate controls.

This small remote uses a GP Ultra 23AE 12 volt battery which gives good longevity and a strong transmission strength.

It is easy to program, simply copy the pattern of the 12 dip switches  on the new remote to the pattern of the switches in your old working remote and you are up and running.

If you do not have a remote you can also find the dip switches on the motor and so you can copy this pattern to your remote. Also if you lose or have a remote stolen, you can change the dip switches on both the motor and remotes to a new matching sequence and the lost or stolen remote will no longer work with your motor, preventing it from being used to get into your home.
