MG ZT & Rover 75 1999 - 2005 2 button remote key 433 MHz PCF7935 EWS chip

The remote in this type of key requires a unique code for each individual remote when coding it to the vehicle and so comes with a barcode type sticker including this special code. The remote must be coded to the vehicle using special diagnostic equipment and we can do this for you or you can have it done near where you live.

Coding a new key can generally only be done if you have a key already and so losing your only key can end in a very very expensive exercise to get a new one coded to your vehicle.

We strongly recommend you always have a spare key for your vehicle.

This remote transmits on 433 MHz ASK as do most Land Rover models in Australia.

The key is supplied with a battery fitted to the remote and an uncoded PCF7935 - EWS chip. We can also code this chip for you but please make an appointment for this service. This chip cannot be programmed via OBD tools. 

As an aftermarket key, this one does not feature a logo and is plain but is very good quality and a fraction of the price of a genuine key.

Feel free to email us a photo of the details on your key if you are not certain it is correct or matches this one.  You can always drop into our shop and we can scan the key to identify the chip and check the frequency of the remote.

This key features a round button with the symbol for LOCK & an oval button which is used for UNLOCK and would normally feature the Landrover logo.

This key blade matches the Silca HU92 profile as is widely used on early Landrover, MG, Rover and BMW Mini models. 

This key can only be coded to the vehicle using a diagnostic tool when at least 1 key is available, this take's approximately 1.5hours. We can do this and cut the key blade at our workshop in East Victoria Park W.A. or you can have it done by your local licensed locksmith. Please check with them first before purchasing this item.

Dispose of used button/coin batteries immediately and safely. A battery can still be dangerous even when it can no longer operate the device. Place sticky tape around both sides of the battery and dispose of it immediately out of reach of children in an outside bin or recycle safely.
