Jaguar F-Type F-Pace XJ XF & XE compatible 5 button proximity remote key

OEM spec Jaguar 5 button smart proximity remote key to suit the Jaguar models listed below, without any Jaguar branding.

This key uses the ID49 HITAG-PRO type proximity transponder. If you open the side chrome section following the instructions in the photos attached you should see the part number engraved on the emergency key holder. Feel free to send us a photo of that part number.

Programming the key to the vehicle will depend on the type of KVM fitted to the vehicle. Some older models can be programmed using diagnostic tools connected to the OBD port of the vehicle but most models manufactured after 2013 will require the KVM to be removed and programmed using a bench process.

The cost for both types of programming are listed under compatible items.

The information in the table above is intended to be used as a reference only. You may have a key that looks identical to this one but is being used with a vehicle from a year not listed.

This may be becase your vehicle has a system that cannot be programmed to.

The key comes with a battery fitted and with a blank aftermarket emergency key blade inside which can be used to open the car door if the remote battery becomes flat.

The emergency key will be cut to match your original key.

The remote has 5 buttons for LOCK - UNLOCK - LIGHTS - BOOT - PANIC ALARM.

This type of key is called a proximity or smart key as it allows you to start the engine while the key is still in your pocket. Should the battery in the key run out you can still open the vehicle using the emergency key blade and you can start the car by placing the back of the remote against the centre of the plastic cover on the steering column. 

Coding a new key can easily be done if you have a key already and so losing your only key can end in a very very expensive exercise to get a new one coded to your vehicle if you no longer have a working key.

We strongly recommend you always have a spare key for your vehicle and keep it in a secure and safe place.

Feel free to email us a photo of the details on your key if you are not certain it is correct. You can always drop into our shop and we can scan the key to identify the chip and check the frequency of the remote.

This key can only be coded to the vehicle using a diagnostic tool when at least 1 key is available. We can do this and cut the key blade at our workshop in East Victoria Park in Perth.

Dispose of used button/coin batteries immediately and safely. A battery can still be dangerous even when it can no longer operate the device. Place sticky tape around both sides of the battery and dispose of it immediately out of reach of children in an outside bin or recycle safely.
