This style of Alfa Romeo push in dash slot key using the Silca SIP22 or JMA FI-16 key blade was not very common. It was mostly used with the Alfa Romeo 159 models from 2006 to 2012.

You don't have to replace your entire slot-key just because the shell is damaged or the emergency key blade release button has broken.

Here we offer you a top quality replacement push in dash slot-key shell for your old broken Alfa Romeo slot-key. Having a key covered in tape to hold it together or with holes in the buttons is never a good look and can be a real frustration.

The kit includes the front and back sections of the key shell with the emergency key which needs to be cut to match your old one. Even though this is an aftermarket key shell, there is a round recess in the back cover to place a logo sticker.

You may need to replace the double sided tape on your old logo sticker before refitting it to the new shell.

Swapping over your remote into the new shell is pretty easy to do yourself or come into our shop and we will swap them over for you, cut the key blade and test the battery for you.

Please note we do charge a fee of $50 for this service and this is only offered at our workshop in East Victoria Park, WA 6101.

If you do not live close by you can swap over the remote yourself and have the key blade cut at your local locksmith or key cutting kiosk. This type of key cutting is usually referred to as laser cut or wave cut.

To swap over the remote, first you will need to open the shell:
Firstly you will need to remove the emergency key blade by pressing the round release button on the key ring loop part and pull out the emergency key blade.
Now you need to slide out the brown plastic battery holder
Once the battery is removed use a small flat blade screw driver to lift off the rubber button pad
Under the button pad you will see a small screw - undo this screw and save it as you will need it for the new shell.
You can now start to pry the front and back sections apart starting from the top of the remote.
Once you get them apart you can swap the PCB into the new case and reassemble it in reverse order of the steps above.
It is a good idea to test the battery when it is out and replace it with a good quality Japanese battery if needed.

It is always wise to use a reputable key cutting shop to ensure your key is cut accurately as even the smallest variance in the dimensions can prevent the key from working correctly. We calibrate our key machine regularly to ensure it is working to the most accurate level possible.
