Land Rover K8D2-19H440-BD genuine RFA module replacement

Most Land Rover models after 2018 which have full PEPS (Passive Entry Passive Start) will have a locked RFA module. This means that adding a key by traditional OBD programming methods is not possible.

To add additional keys the RFA module must be replaced and then all keys programmed in one programming session. At the end of the programming session the MCU chip on the RFA module is locked and cannot be programmed to after this. Existing keys still in your possession can be programmed to the new module along with any new keys.

These are known as OTP type chips, which meands One Time Programmable. It is vital that you decide how many keys you wish to have for the vehicle before this process is carried out, as once locked you can no longer simply add a key.

We stock genuine Land Rover RFA modules as we have found aftermarket or refurbished modules to be very unreliable and more trouble than they are worth. 

There are a number of versions of this module with different part numbers and the only way to confirm which you need for your vehicle is to check with a dealer against the VIN. 

Programming these modules requires very specialist equipment and so we do not offer these module for sale online. All work is caried out at our East Victoria Park workshop.
