Genuine Land Rover smart proximity key can be added as a spare to many different Land Rover models from around 2018 onward where the vehicle has UWB active. 

The price shown is for the supply of 1 key and does not include the emergency key blade or any programming.

Models built after 2018 generally use what is known as OTP (One Time Porgrammable) RFA or KVM modules for the keyless entry system. Programming a spare key to these vehicle is very complex as the RFA module will also need to be replaced and the new module will need to be programmed the vehicle with dealer level software before the keys can be programmed.

THIS KEY SUITS UWB VEHICLES AND PROFESSIONAL PROGRAMMING IS REQUIRED

It is important to understand the system setup of your vehicle. There are 2 distinctly different set ups.

PEPS - Passive Entry Passive Start - These vehicles have a small dimple on the door handles which when touched will lock the vehicle as long as the key is within range. This is passive entry. When you get into the vehicle you just have to put your foot on the brake and press the start button to start the engine. This is Passive Start.

NON-PEPS - Non-Passive Entry with Passive Start - These vehicles do not have the round dimple on the door handles and so the user must press lock or unlock on the remote to lock or unlock the vehicle, i.e. Non Passive Entry. When you get into the vehicle you just have to put your foot on the brake and press the start button to start the engine. This is Passive Start.

The difference between the 2 systems may seem quite insignificant, but the difference in the technology involved in programming a key to a PEPS vehicle over a NON-PEPS vehicle is significant.

While you may think the cost of this key is high, please remember getting a PEPS UWB key for a vehicle like one of these from a Land Rover dealer will cost you between $2300 - $2800 generally for a spare and around $6000 if you have lost all your keys.

If your vehcile does NOT have passive entry, we can supply and program an aftermarket key at a much lover price than what is required for the UWB PEPS models. 

The key comes with a battery fitted.

The remote has 5 buttons for LOCK - UNLOCK - LIGHTS - BOOT - PANIC ALARM.

We do NOT sell this key to the public as most locksmiths or Land Rover dealers will not program a key unless they have also supplied it. If you are a locksmith and wish to order one, please email us.

This key features the HU101 key blade profile which is cut using a milling type key machine often referred to as a wave cut or laser cut. Please see the attached images to understand how to remove the emergency blade from your remote.

Dispose of used button/coin batteries immediately and safely. A battery can still be dangerous even when it can no longer operate the device. Place sticky tape around both sides of the battery and dispose of it immediately out of reach of children in an outside bin or recycle safely.
